Paula Broadbent, Managing Director, Lovell Later Living, said: “We are thrilled to have received planning approval for the Sandcastles development in Middle Deepdale. There is real demand in the region for housing designed for later living and the properties we are developing will offer choice and adaptability so that our customers can create and curate their home to live the way they really want in their later years.
“Designed through our customers eyes, the homes are modern and aspirational in design but benefit from a range of hidden design features which will take care of what the future might bring, giving individuals the peace of mind that, no matter what life holds in the future, their home will flex with their needs.
“Decades of experience and insight have gone into the design of this new development and by offering a diverse mix of home types we are hoping to build and foster a real community within the Middle Deepdale community at Sandcastles.”
Paul Devaney, Area Director, Lovell North East said, “It’s great that work can now begin on the Sandcastles development. Scarborough is a beautiful and bustling town and we are pleased to be supporting the regeneration of Middle Deepdale alongside our colleagues from Later Living by Lovell. “The development itself is an important part of the areas regeneration and will create a number of job opportunities for local residents as well encouraging local businesses and organisations that support older or more vulnerable persons to expand their operations in the area.”
The Sandcastles development forms part of the Middle Deepdale Masterplan which, in turn, is part of the wider Eastfield Regeneration Investment Plan. The Masterplan was developed by Scarborough Council in partnership with Kebbell Developments and supported by North Yorkshire County Council and Homes England.
