The event, held at Wakefield Golf Club, brought together employees, partners and community members for a day of friendly competition and charity giving.
The funds raised through the event will go towards supporting the opening of The Rob Burrow Centre. The centre will be dedicated to supporting individuals living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), which is a cause close to the hearts of many at Lovell.
Several businesses from the local community participated in the annual golf tournament, all eager to support the cause championed by Leeds Hospital Charity. These included Niemen Architects, Dudleys, Woodhouse Plastering, Bell Electrical, JLP Scaffolding, EcoHeatwave, Protan, CR Plumbing, Randstad, Symphony, Sub-Frame, Logical Plumbing Solutions, City Plumbing, Avison Young, Leeds Teaching Hospital, and DJR Smith.
The event was a resounding success, fostering healthy competition, and, most importantly, charitable giving. The generous contributions were not limited to the participating businesses, as several companies made valuable donations to bolster the fundraising efforts further. Sponsorships for the event were received from IG Elements, Kenny Waste Management, Taylor Maxwell, Till & Whitehead, Stormking, Wienerberger Roof Tiles, O’Donnell Civil Engineering, Designer Contracts and Birtley Doors.

The golf tournament builds on previous charitable initiatives this year, which have included a marathon, football match and various internal activities. With current fundraising efforts sitting at over £10,000, Lovell looks forward to expanding this partnership with The Rob Burrow Centre through further planned activities.
