On Thursday 23 May 2024, Year 12 bricklaying students from Springwood High School visited our upcoming Florence Fields development, off Parkway in Gaywood, King’s Lynn.

Michael Saunders, operations manager at Lovell and Jonathan Gosling from Last Bros Brickwork guided the students on a 90-minute tour of the site.

The visit provided the students with a first-hand look at what working life is like on a construction site and the opportunity to ask questions about bricklaying, the construction process and what working on a site involves.

James Pightling from Springwood High School said " It was a fantastic opportunity for the future generation in construction to see a large working site in full flow. The students took a lot from it, which will only help them with their development into the industry. A big thankyou to Michael and John for allowing us to see behind the scenes and answer questions from the students."

Michael Saunders said: “We were delighted to welcome the students from Springwood High School to our development and they are one of the first to go behind the hoarding and see how work is coming along. The visit offered a valuable chance to see how building sites operate and ask any questions. Feedback from the students was that they really enjoyed seeing the development and how work is progressing.”

Florence Fields is an upcoming development where we are building quality two, three and four bedroom homes that will soon be available to buy. This development is in partnership with the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk.

Springwood High School provides education for young people aged between 11 and 18 in King's Lynn.
