Lovell apprentice Callum Kelly has won the Iven Gilbert Memorial Award for ‘Outstanding Carpentry Apprentice’ at East Coast College.

The award, sponsored by Gilbert Builders Ltd was presented to Callum by the College, with them commenting ‘’Callum's dedication to his craft is evident in his impeccable attendance record and his proactive approach to his studies. His commitment to achieving the highest standards of quality in his work is not just commendable, it is exemplary. Callum's passion for carpentry shines through in the meticulous attention to detail he brings to every project. His deep interest in the field is matched by a work ethic that is rare in someone of his age. It is this combination of passion and dedication that makes Callum an outstanding candidate for this prestigious award.’’

 

Jo Ruggles, regional training manager at Lovell said: ‘’Callum is very deserving of this award with all the hard work and dedication he puts in. He has a bright future ahead and I have no doubt he will be successful in anything he does. Its been a pleasure working with him.’’

 

Callum is currently still studying at East Coast College and is awaiting his Level 2 End Point Assessment results. We have no doubt Callum will continue to do well and wish him all the best in his future studies.
