Bringing the community into the building

Lovell Later Living is working towards a better understanding of social isolation so that we can introduce what we have learnt into our design, planning and recommendations. It is our passion to provide and deliver extra care and supported living in a way that makes a real difference to the quality of people’s lives, not just in the buildings but for the community as a whole. By creating social inclusion and fostering a culture of community engagement we hope to reduce the incidence and negative impact of social isolation.

Extra care housing is proving to be an extremely popular option as it offers tailored accommodation and individual support to older people. There’s a critical shortage of extra care housing and this new Council programme will not only go a substantial way towards the city meeting the target of 1,000 extra care homes across the city by 2028 but act as a catalyst to promote wider development by other providers
